Clothes Swap

Did you know that the fashion industry is responsible for 10% of the yearly carbon emissions worldwide and therefore produces more carbon dioxide than the aviation and shipping industry combined? Furthermore, the extensive consumption of fashion and the waste it produces is immense issues in our society.

The Clothes Swap project aims to demonstrate a sustainable approach to fashion. You can donate clothes and find new clothes that others have sorted out of their wardrobe. Instead of throwing away clothes that you aren’t wearing anymore, they can find a new owner who might cherish them more than you are. Another great advantage is, that it is a lot cheaper to swap clothes with others than buying new ones.

In addition to swapping clothes, you can also fix minor clothing damages with the help of Fixoteket Hammarkullen.

This event only took place once so far in February 2020 and was hosted together with Engineers Without Borders (EWB) and Social Science Environmental Student Association (SSESA), but we are hoping to organize it again!
